Yesterday's Tomorrow

Yesterday’s Tomorrow presents a series of twentieth century designs that strived to fundamentally reconfigure the way people lived. Employing aesthetics instilled with a sense of the future, they appear distinct to those which were to follow and remind us of the whimsically disruptive visions of their creators.

Distilling these designs into chapters containing plastic residences, modular apartments, kinetic furniture, mechanised offices, amphibious vehicles and artificial intelligence, this book provides a commentary on an imaginative approach to designing for a new world.
